We raced across the void at inconcievable velocities. These ancient vessels were cargo ships, transporting the frozen seed-data of unborn civilizations across infinite vacuum. They were enormous; the largest blue whales would be as minnows next to them. Electric hieroglyphs pulsated across their translucent membrane hulls and flickered deep within their plasma cores, layer within layer of nanoscopic complexity. I could only wonder who had built them and where they had come from...
